What's been your biggest achievement of the year?

I think I would have to say being asked by Tidy to mix the latest chapter of the "Music For A Harder Generation" album series with Andy Whitby. I'm so honored that they allowed me to meddle with one of their most recognized album series! Mixmag also rated the album 5/5 stars so that made me feel very warm and fuzzy inside!

What moments will you never forget?

I'll never forget walking across the stage at last year's Hard Dance Awards to recieve the "Best New Face" award! It was such an incredible and emotional feeling for me. Having pretty much just left my family and friends behind the week before, it was such a nice reassurance to myself that I had made the right choice.

Who's been your favourite newcomer of the year?

I've been so impressed with Jordan Suckley's performances and demo's this year. It's always nice to hear another DJ push the boundaries and really take their mix to the next level and he is certainly doing that! He's a very nice guy as well and I expect big things from him in 2009!

Who's been the artist of the year for you?

Paul Maddox! My favorite artist hasn't changed in the last few years and with the quality output and engineering this guy does, I don't ever see my views ever changing. Incredibly versatile with a keen ear for any style of music. (check out his Spectre stuff as well!)

Having had the opportunity to work with him this year, I can honestly say that he crafts and cares for every individual sound like it's his newborn baby.

What's been your favourite label of the year?

Definitely Tidy, with Sam's involvement as the label manager, the strength of releases has been better than ever with some ridiculously well rounded packages. Notable mention goes to Fireball Recordings as well! Really solid release schedule and there hasn't been a bad release yet!

What do you think has been the best track of the year?

There's been so many quality tracks released this year but the one track that I just can't get enough of and still play ever since Dave sent it to me is "Dave Curtis - Weekender". "...to help you forget about that 9-5 bollox..." It's genius!

What's been your favourite event of the year?

I've been to so many events this year but one of the best gigs/events I went to was Coloursfest in Glasgow. The Scottish crowd are mental (in a good way!) and the atmosphere was incredible in the tent. They also chant! ^.^

What's the funniest thing that's happened to you?

Hmm I can't really think of anything too incredibly funny but I saw a guy dressed up in a giant penguin suit at one of the tidy weekender's during my set and I found that to be very amusing.

What do you have planned for the next year?

There's quite a few things I would like to do next year. Currently Ben Stevens and I are working on a live show (with two different concepts) which we hope to launch around Feb/March along with a tour. Besides that I'd really love to start working on a producer's album as well as continue to output a steady stream of quality material :)
