What's been your biggest achievement of the year?

It felt like quite an achievement to be asked to be one of the new Tidy Girls for the latest Tidy Girl EP, nearly 10 years on from the first one (which is still one of the most sought after Tidy tracks ever). I was one of the original 4, so was really quite proud to be asked to do another track for the EP and pleased that Tidy felt I have something good to offer a scene that has meant so much to me for so long. Surviving being resident at Tidy in Ibiza for another year was also an achievement in itself...

What moments will you never forget?

This year's Planet Love Festival South was one of the best festivals this year for hard dance. Just an amazing atmosphere. At the end of the night myself, Lisa Lashes, the Tidy Boys, Lisa Pin UP and Mark Kavannagh all played a Tony De Vit tune at the end of the night, and although Tony's name has been milked with too many tribute events in my opinion, this was very genuine and hearfelt. However at the end of the night after everyone had gone home all the DJs got stranded in the arena for over an hour as the transport couldn't get to us and no one would answer their phone. We genuinely thought we'd be spending the night there. Eventually we set off on foot in our heels and dresses accross the field and were literally knee deep in thick disgusting mud and arrived at our posh(ish) hotel looking like a bunch of crusties.

Who's been your favourite newcomer of the year?

I have to say the Audiohedz have impressed me, they are dedicated, hardworking, talented and really understand music. They play and make a broad spectrum of hard dance and are genuinely nice people that I think have a lot to offer the scene.

Who's been the artist of the year for you?

BK and Scott Attrill (Vinylgroover) are usually my favourite artists but this year Alf (Technikal) has made some of the most stomping crowd pleasing tracks I've ever played. His production is so bright - and loud! The most entertaining to watch however have been The Organ Donors; their album is amazing and I've been playing tracks from it all year.

What's been your favourite label of the year?

Traffic, Riot! and Tidy

What do you think has been the best track of the year?

My favourite track has to be The Organ Donors' 'Teardrop'. It fits in any set.

What's been your favourite event of the year?

The opening of Judgement Sunday at Eden. Just brilliant.

What's the funniest thing that's happened to you?

This year at Advanced vs Tidy in Ibiza, I played before Dave Pearce. At the end of the night I went home with my record bag as usual and didn't think anything of it. The next morning I couldn't understand why there was a pair of boxer shorts and some shaving stuff in my bag -and some house keys that I didn't recognise. Turns out we had each left with the other one's record bag. Poor Dave had no keys to get in his house, and the knowledge that I knew what kind of pants he wears!

What do you have planned for the next year?

I've got a lot of gigs in Ireland and Scotland over this Christmas and New Year which suits me down to the ground, where better to be than with the biggest party animals on the planet over the festive period! Then I've got the usual trips to Canada and further afield to look forward to in the early part of the year, I'm doing some gigs at winter resorts in Austria where I'll be playing more diverse stuff, and obviously lots more tracks in the studio. The collabs I did this year will be coming out early next year too with Technikal and Lisa Lashes, Audiohedz and I'll be working with Traffic, Tidy and Riot on some projects that are already in place. www.djannesavageworld.com is being revamped and the gateway to all that kind of info if anyone wants to know more!
