What's been your biggest achievement of the year?
I think think this would have to be getting sponsored by Lacoste for their new fragrance, 'Dream Of Pink'. I also had a spin off Amber D 'Dreams' 12 date tour on the back of this, mainly in Ireland, which was fantastic!
What moments will you never forget?
There are some I will never forget from this year... especially getting married. That was truly the best day of my life. Also doing the festival rounds again this year; Global Gathering and Creamfields, both for the 5th year running, and playing for the first time at Planet Love in Ireland, as well as other festivals in the UK. Ibiza didnt let me down again this year... It was as mad as ever, and the Tidy Boot Camp was great fun, as well as playing for Dave Pearce's night at Eden, Advanced.
But the one thing that would probably top it all off, would be my Hen Party which I held in a massive Villa near to San Antonio, Ibiza. It was definitely a week to remember! We all had such a great time. And i dont think I ever got over the hangover completely!
Who's been your favourite newcomer of the year?
Probably Morgan... He's been around for a bit now, but I really appreciate his love of what he does and his passion behind the decks. He is also great to work with in the studio!
Who's been the artist of the year for you?
I have a lot of admiration for Technikal, and of course, Paul Maddox. I have been CONSTANTLY in the studio with both of them this year, and will continue to do so. On the electro side of things, I am in love with Crookers, Twocker and Stupid Fresh right now.
What's been your favourite label of the year?
Tidy of course! And my electro label, D'Amour Recordings. www.damourrecordings.com
What do you think has been the best track of the year?
I really love Kiddstock Theme 2008 by Alex Kidd vs Kidd Kaos. It's so different to anything else out there, and I cant stop listening to it right now.
What's been your favourite event of the year?
I really loved the Tidy Weekender this year. As well as my usual Hard Dance set, I played an Old Skool set in the Queen Vic after the Rat Pack which was definately one of my highlights from this year. I had a blast!
What's the funniest thing that's happened to you?
Doing a stage dive at The Coach in Ireland... Anyone who has been there knows that the decks are a good 15-20 foot above the dance floor... The place was packed, and iI think I was doing last set... I just took off my shoes and jumped! Thankfully they all caught me and I was in one piece.. I did get a small shard of glass in my foot though!
What do you have planned for the next year?
More studio dates, and a possible producers album. Also going international on a larger and wider level next year, and some possible plans personally (dont want to say too much at the moment!)
